After graduating from USCS in 1995, I began teaching 6th grade students the subject of science at Woodmont Middle School. Ten years later, I graduated from Furman University with a masters degree in middle level science. I am a 2010 National Board Certified Teacher.

I am passionate about education and love to share my experiences with my students.

As the daughter of career Air Force personnel, I have traveled all over the United States (all 50 states) as well as to several countries. My love of travel has never diminished and every so often I get "itchy feet" and need to travel in order to scratch! In the summer you will rarely find me home.

My husband of 30+ years and I have two sons and one cat. The oldest son is married, and has a computer "geeky nerdy" job in Charleston. The younger son is teaching 8th grade students the subject of history.
